Sounds like dodgy stuff mascara, I'm only just learning makeup really. I looked on the mabylene website and it says in the tips section "if you only have time for one make up product, use mascara". I hated rubbing away at my eyes to get the stuff off, its a bloody nightmare. My eyes were still red two days after i cleansed them, i used "Simple" eye wipes. I might try another product for removing them, but OLIVE OIL, isn't that dodgy because your'e making the skin saturated with oil which will cog pores and lead to a bad skin condition? Oh well, one day I'll get the knack of it . bye

I use waterproof mascara on the regular bases. I've used Ponds cold cream for a while now and it works pretty well on removing waterproof. It removes waterproof like it was any non-waterproof mascara. It can be a bit messy however. I would recommend it.

Mascara X fanatic, You should try mascara that has a comb shape wand. It gets more on and stays put better. I also use baby wipes to clean it.

Emmalyn - why are you losing lashes? If you're losing lashes, it means you will need to apply the solution to your lashes for a little longer to allow the lipid base of the oil to break up your makeup. You won't really need a cotton ball, tissues will work just fine.

Lola- baby wipes are disposable cloths with cleaning agents which can act like the lipids in olive oil. They break up the makeup. Do you have more success with the baby wipes? Is it more afforable?

I have been using baby wipes for a while. It takes off both my waterproof mascara and waterproof eyeliner in seconds. I don't know what it is that does it, but it is very effective

Thanks so much! The olive oil works great. Sometimes when I remove the mascara, I have to use toilet paper instead of a cotten ball because I have none.

Does anyone know how to get rid of the mascara without removing your lashes?

I've been using this recipe for some time now. It works much better than what's being sold. Bodytreat, you don't need anything special. Just plain old olive oil works fine.
